Success in many people's minds is a figure, a sum, an amount of money that has no correlation to their lives or what they need, want or seek.

Success then needs to be reconsidered. Carefully, personally and experientially.

In other words - what do YOU want? Who do YOU want to be? And how do YOU want to become that?

Success for so many people is a really scary thing. So much so it seems many people aren't afraid of failure so much as they are afraid of becoming successful and being unable to handle it.

Perhaps success doesn't need to be so scary. Perhaps it can be a simple process of moving towards something you seek to create in your life?

Have you truly thought about what you need to create a life you love? It might be millions of dollars, a massive following and a huge impact on the world.

But chances are what you want to do is create a liveable income that gives you some freedom too, through a business that doesn't require you to be available 24/7.

And chances are you can do that without having to turn your world inside out.

What it does "cost" though is the willingness to change. That's scary too. And whilst we will talk more about this in other posts, it's worth mentioning here and now that sometimes it's the real barrier.

To create a new thing in your life you need to become the person who has created that thing. You need to think new thoughts, do new things and be something you've never been before - aka the person who has done that thing!

The real limitation to success then is not that it's too big for you to handle, but that the process of change can feel bigger than you know how to handle.

So let's start at start...

  • What do you want to create?
  • How much money do you want to make?
  • What do you want your life to look like?

These are simple questions you may not have answered. But they are fundamental to the journey. These questions form the baseline of who you are becoming. They make the change less scary because you are working towards something that you have defined for yourself.

It's easy to get caught up in the idea that you manifest success, have it all, and become super rich. But the reality for most people is that this is meaningless - and that means you'll give up far too quickly when you hit the first roadblocks.

Define what YOU want and what success looks like to YOU. Then take the next steps.
